Buddhist Church of San Francisco is a member of the Buddhist Churches of America (BCA), an incorporated religious organization of American Shin Buddhist affiliated with the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha Hongwanji (Kyoto, Japan) denomination within the Continental United States. Founded in 1898, this church is the oldest Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temple that is affiliated with the BCA. Activities include religious services, classes for children and adults, conferences, lectures, retreats, workshops, seminars, Dharma School for youth, and Jr YBA for teens. Monthly newsletter.
